Uploading Your Website
There are two main methods to upload your website files to Hostiviq hosting:
Method 1: cPanel File Manager (Recommended for Beginners)
- Log into your cPanel
- Click File Manager under the Files section
- Navigate to the
public_htmlfolder - Click Upload in the top menu
- Drag and drop your website files or click to browse
- Wait for the upload to complete
Important: Your main website file must be named
index.html or index.php and placed directly in the public_html folder.Method 2: FTP/SFTP (Recommended for Large Files)
Use an FTP client like FileZilla (free download at filezilla-project.org).
Your FTP credentials:
- Host: your domain name (e.g., yourdomain.com.ng)
- Username: your cPanel username
- Password: your cPanel password
- Port: 21 (FTP) or 22 (SFTP)
Step 3: Visit Your Website
Once uploaded, visit your domain in a browser. If DNS has propagated, your website will be live.
