Installing WordPress
Installing WordPress on Hostiviq takes just a few clicks using the Softaculous auto-installer in cPanel.
Step 1: Open Softaculous
- Log into your cPanel
- Scroll to the Software section
- Click Softaculous Apps Installer
Step 2: Find WordPress
Click WordPress in the popular applications list, then click Install Now.
Step 3: Configure the Installation
- Choose Protocol: Select
https:// - Choose Domain: Select your domain
- In Directory: Leave blank to install at root, or enter a folder name
- Site Name: Your website name
- Admin Username: Choose a unique username (NOT "admin")
- Admin Password: Use a strong password
- Admin Email: Your email address
Step 4: Click Install
Click Install and wait about 30 seconds. Softaculous will send you an email with your WordPress login details.
Step 5: Log Into WordPress
Visit yourdomain.com/wp-admin and log in with your admin credentials.
WordPress is installed! Now choose a theme and install your plugins.
